We hear the word “SEO” a lot, and how it can have a positive impact on your online business. The question is do you know the real value of SEO and analytics, and is it really worth investing your time and money?
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process (or science, or art) of increasing your website traffic by helping it rank higher in organic (non-paid) search results. In short, it makes your site more visible through search engines, like Google.
As you do E-Commerce and Digital Marketing, it’s important that you know how to make an informed decision based on data that you collect from SEO analysis. It can help you find out what are your biggest obstacles to improve organic web traffic. Because of how broad SEO itself, you need to be able to understand what level of effort you need to take for your website to appear on Search.
Whether you are a Freelancer, digital marketer, MSME, or business owner, it always makes business sense to use the right SEO strategies to be more visible on search engine result pages (SERP) and drive more search traffic to your website.
In this tutorial, I will demonstrate how to:
- Use Searcher Intent;
- Apply SEO Strategy;
- Use Keyword Research;
- Use Long Tail Keyword Sources;
- Optimize Product Descriptions;
- Use Link Strategy;
- Web Analytics, and many more.
Simply put, an E-Commerce store or portfolio website should show up in the major search engines to increase their chances of selling your products or services. SEO can multiply your customer base and grow your business exponentially. Some of its perceived benefits are:
- Reduce your advertising spend and increase your ROI.
- Build up your brand value and get you, loyal and ready-to-buy customers.
- It helps you target potential customers using the right content as they have a high-level of intent.
SEO Training and Tutorial

In the tutorial above, I mentioned Google taking a huge chunk of the Search Engine Market share worldwide. Though the video cited data from 2019, you can always check the most updated stats by going to the StatCounter website here. You will notice other Search Engines may be improving their ranking as well, which means, more and more users prefer using them due to concerns on tracking, privacy, and among other things.
SEO and the Buyer’s Journey
As discussed in the tutorial, doing SEO for your website also relates to your understanding of the Buyer’s Journey. The idea basically is for you to have different site contents optimized and targeted for relevant search queries from users of each Buyer’s Journey stage.
I conducted mastermind sessions together with the participants of the E-Commerce and Digital Marketing Bootcamp + Mastermind program. I embedded the recorded mastermind session from Batch 1 below for your review.
